who are

Abberton Rural Training

ART has been in operation for 9 years and has provided activities for 1,459 people of different ages in the last year. The vast majority of whom have a disability of some kind

Aberton Rural Training is committed to ensuring that our sites and our course offerings are inclusive, accessible, and available to everyone.

All sites are equipped with disabled toilets, ramps and hoists.

We currently have two disabled access minibuses, and are seeking to add to these further if successful with this bid, to provide further outdoor outings and activities.  This will include visits to farms, zoos, wildlife parks, leisure centres (including our own programme at Maldon Blackwater Leisure Centre), sports activity, theatre trips, adventure golf, Essex outdoors, swimming pools, seaside visits, historic sites and other local providers.  We are already in liaison with a number of providers across the area to help the local economy further and support our local tourism providers.  All activities will be assessed in accordance with the needs of the children and families, and we will liaise with the families and children to discuss what they would like to see as activities for the period ahead.
