Abberton Rural Training - Delivering Skills to the Rural Community

ART Project Manager Jacqui Stone said: “I am pleased we’ve been able to secure this grant from the Big Lottery Fund’s ‘Building Better Opportunities’ fund to help develop, promote and run the courses we’ve been offering at Abberton Rural Training.

“It will mean the scheme will continue to grow and develop a lasting legacy for many different and diverse students by offering them life changing opportunities through education”.

This new grant ensures that students from a range of backgrounds and age groups can continue to take part in courses to learn a range of traditional skills such as land management, wood working and textiles.

The grant has been made by the ‘Building Better Opportunities’ fund and is a project jointly funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social fund. Abberton Rural Training continues to be supported by a host of organisations such as the Rural Community Council for Essex, Essex County Council, The Department of Work and Pensions and many more.
