Learning a range of woodland skills including coppicing, hedgelayering, charcoal making, spoon carving, whittling and habitat improvement. Includes cooking in the woods. This course runs at Wormingford on Thursdays 10am - 4pm.

Carpentry & Mixed Trades Construction

Learning basic carpentry skills and joints, the best use of woods and tools and basic construction techniques including bricklaying, carpentry, plastering and tiling in construction. You can choose both or just one of these courses. Mixed Trades Construction runs at Wormingford on Wednesdays (19+) and Fridays (45+) and Carpentry (45+) on Thursdays all 10am - 4pm.

Countryside & Environment

Participants will be able to customise their learning by specialising in one of three key areas including Habitats, Land Management and Man-made structures in the environment. This course runs at Stow Maries on Tuesdays, 10am - 4pm and as part of Woodlands and Land Based Skills at Wormingford on Thursdays also 10am - 4pm.

A brand new Upcycling Furniture Course starts from the 8th January - taking place every Friday from 10:00 - 16:00 at our Wormingford location.  

The course is free to those aged over 45 who are not currently working - whether you are on benefits or not!
